Bone Scan Tomorrow

Hey everyone,Caleb goes back to Charlston for a bone scan tomorrow and we should have the results back from the CT scan,bone moaarow biopsy and the MIGB scan tomorrow as well.Lets pray they are good..He is doing ok,feeling better he has just been real sore today from the biopsy yesterday..So lets all pray!!

Well Caleb went today and got the other MIGB scan,CTscan and he had a bone morrow biopsy.He will go back on friday and get his bone scan..He did really good today he is just really sore tonight from the bone marrow biopsy..We will get the results from the MIGB scan and the CT scan on Friday…ITS gonna be good I just know it! So lets keep praying!

Start Of Scans Today

Caleb had the first part of his MIGB scan today..He did so well I was so proud of him..He goes back in the morning for the second part,this one takes a litle longer so they are going to have tp put him to sleep for it..Then he will go back on Friday for his bone scan..Let’s all pray that his tumor has gotten smaller so they can remove it..I really believe it has,Caleb actually has a belly button now! It has been soo long since I have seen his little belly button,its great! So something has to be smaller,right?He has been doing good since his last treatment,he has had some vomitting and nausea but nothing like before.His potassium and electrolites were very low today has well has well has his platlets..which would explain why he has been having leg cramps..That happens when your potassium is low.So he got platlets and potassium today..It was a very long day..They will check everything again in the morning before scans to make sure his potassium has gone up..I will let everyone know how things go tomorrow..Wish us luck!!!

Clinic Tomorrow

Caleb has been doing ok since we came home on Friday..He has been vomitting a little,and he had a bad day yesterday but other than that he hasnt been anywhere near as bad as he was after cycle 3,which was the same medicine..He went to clinic on Monday and everything was still good.His hemoglobin was 8.4 so they were sure he would need blood by tomorrow.So we go back in the morning for blood,hopefully that will give him some more energy…He goes all next week for scans,so everyone please pray that they all go well..He gets a MIGB scan on Wed.on his chest,pelvic and abdomen and on Friday he gets bone scans…Then if his counts are up good enough the fowllowing week he will hace surgery to remove the tumor…So lets pray!!!!

Going Home Today

Caleb is doing great so far,we should be going home around noon..Im so glad my back really cant handle another night in that recliner..He did get sick this morning once so im hopeing the vomiting doesnt get as bad this time..Im sure we will be back by Wed.though.At least we will get a few days at home..Please continue to pray for our little friend Chase,he really needs them right now..

Another Great Day

Caleb has had another good to today! He finishes the last of the cisplatin tonight so hopefuly if everything goes well we can go home tomorrow.He has also been eating today a little bit.They are going to schedule his MIGB scan sometime next week to look at the tumor before surgery.Lets pray that it has gotten smaller.Please everyone say an extra prayer for our little buddy,Chase.He may have to have surgery on his bowels and he still isnt feeling well..Hang in there little buddy!

Great Day Today

Caleb has had a really great today!He has been in a really good mood today,no temper tantrums,I’m so proud of him!We went down to the gift shop and got candy and played in the atrium all day..He slept all night last night.He did pull his tube out today but he didnt mean it,he steped on it when he was playing,so of course,he wasnt happy wen they had to put it back in..So I hope tonight and tomorrow is just as good…

Today hasnt been too bad,he has had a few melt downs,but not as many as befor yet.He didnt really sleep good lastnight the nausea and vomiting started again lastnight,so it was pretty rough.He hasnt ate anything today either so I hope that isnt starting so soon.They are not going to start his chemo unit about 1130 again tonight,which means we wont get to go home until Friday morning.His dad came today so he was pretty happy about tha,they are playing in the atrium now,maybe he will get worn out and go to sleep early tonight..

Doing Round 5 Of Chemo

Well we are back in the hospital doing round 5 of chemo,at least we got to go home for a couple days to get a break..Caleb had a great weekend but go figure as soon as we got here the temper tantrums started again.He just hates the hospital!This round he gets the Etoposide and the Cisplatin again,this is the one that made him really sick wth all the nausea amd vomiting on round three.They are giving him Dexamethasone which is a steriod to help with the nausea this time,so maybe he wont get as sick.I really hope not,I cant stand to see him like that.The only down fall to that medicine is that it causes temper tantrums,as if he is not having them enough already.I guess as long as it helps the nausea thats all that matters though.Im just not going to have any sanity left when we go home but im used to that…He is also getting the menitol to help protect his bladder this time.The Cisplatin is what caused him to lose some of his hearing on round 3,so lets pray that he doesnt lose anymore with this one..Please everyone keep little Chase in ur prayers he is still in the hospital and still not feeling to well.I talked to his mother tonight,she is a very sweet lady and I know how hard very stressful this is on her,so lets pray for her too..Hang in there little Chase we are all still praying!!!!!!!!

Home And Doing Great

We finally came home yesterday and Caleb is doing great! He hasnt had any temper tantrums since we have been home,and I finally got to sleep lastnight..I think he was just tired of being in the hospital and was ready to come home.The doctor said she thinks it is the chemo making him have the fits.We go back on Monday morning for round 5 of chemo,so we are going to have great weekend at home with family,we have family comming for easter,I am so excited because he is doing good and he will be able to enjoy easter.Everyone please keep praying for our little friend Chase he is still not feeling to well..Happy Easter!!!
